York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer Specialty Doctor opportunities in our Emergency Medicine Department across our York and Scarborough Hospital sites.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative department dedicated to providing high quality emergency patient care. You will broaden your clinical knowledge and experience exhilarating challenges. You will be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team who will support your clinical and personal development.
Candidates must have full registration with the General Medical Council; a minimum of four years’ postgraduate training (or the equivalent), two of which must be in a relevant specialty or have equivalent experience and competencies.

We are passionate about developing our workforce and are delighted to support our doctors in enhancing their professional development, including doctors who want to work towards gaining the Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) in Emergency Medicine.
We will support you in the training required to achieve your Specialist Registration via the CESR route. You will have a dedicated Clinical Supervisor who will guide you to achieve the competencies you require with a training plan tailored to your learning needs. You will undertake robust rotations in other departments including Anaesthetics, Acute Medicine, Intensive Care & Paediatrics to build your knowledge, skills and experience.
