Here within the Surgery and Anaesthetics Directorate at York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust we have some exciting opportunities available at both our York and Scarborough sites.

At Scarborough Hospital Maple Ward provides excellent opportunities for you to develop skills in a range of surgical conditions and has a six bedded high observation area for looking after acute surgical patients. Come for a look around and meet the team who are friendly, welcoming and looking for staff who are flexible and innovative to join them.

We would be happy to discuss and develop bespoke rotational posts throughout our Surgical, Anaesthetics and Critical Care departments for suitable applicants.

At York Hospital we have various vacancies within the surgical directorate which includes the following areas:

  • Acute Surgical Assessment Unit,
  • Vascular Surgery,
  • Head and Neck,
  • Urology
  • General Surgery (including a nurse enhanced unit)

We would welcome applications from you if you are a surgical nurse with an interest in these areas or if you wish to gain valuable experience within a surgical specialty. Rotational posts are also available within the Directorate.
