York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has an ambitious programme of service modernisation and a reputation for providing high quality services. In line with our outlook, we are now inviting applications for this post, at York Teaching Hospital, based in York.

 

The post holders will join a team consisting of 19 consultants, based across York and Scarborough, in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology service, which is provided to a population of approximately 800,000.

 

This is a service post, however, good training and teaching facilities are available within the departments and in the Postgraduate Medical Centre based at the Hospital. The need for the successful candidate to attend clinical and generic skills training will be dependent on the individuals’ needs.

 

We provide study leave allowance of £300 per annum pro rata.

 

The successful candidate will preferably have at least 12 months NHS experience. Candidates must have full GMC Registration. You can check your eligibility on their website, if there is any uncertainty, please contact the GMC and seek advice. If you      cannot register with the GMC you cannot be employed.

 

The hospital offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with an active Mess and is situated in the historic City of York. The City of York is a busy tourist and industrial centre.  There are good road and rail connections to all parts of the country and pleasant rural and coastal areas are within easy reach.
