…to help make us a valued and trusted partner within our care system, that delivers safe effective care to our local population.
We are looking to increase our Band 6 establishment to compliment our Clinical Navigation role, Ambulance Assessment Area and Resuscitation area and therefore are recruiting experienced Emergency Department nurses to work within the Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centre. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to join York ED at an exciting time with plans for the development of our service.
As a Deputy Sister/Charge nurse you will have excellent leadership skills and will embrace the challenge of working in a highly demanding and diverse environment and actively support the nursing team to ensure high standards of care are delivered.
This is a very exciting time and as a senior member of the team you will be in a position to influence and affect Emergency Care as we continue to develop our innovative ways of working.
This is a rewarding but challenging role that requires you to organise and prioritise patient care to ensure maximum flow through the department and provide support and advice to junior members of the team and/or students.
You will be working with a dynamic nursing team with strong peer support and access to educational opportunities to further your career.
Please note candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience working at band 5 or above in an Emergency Department setting.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
