An opportunity has risen for two highly motivated, and enthusiastic individuals, to join the Information Team at York Teaching Hospitals, at a very exciting time in the department. We are looking for individuals who relish a challenge, have an eye for making improvements, and can build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
If you have an appetite for problem solving, alongside the ability to generate creative business intelligence solutions, then you will be given the opportunity to work within a forward thinking team using industry, leading tools and applications. The Information Team is responsible for working with colleagues throughout the wider organisation, to define reporting requirements, and then delivering the necessary data presentation layer which will be accurate and visually appealing.
The focus will always be on high quality work, which is relevant and useful to the user, and which also takes advantage of technology to ensure that the correct information is available, whenever it is required. As part of the team, the post holders will report on performance against local and national targets, reviewing and understanding the reason for any variances, and ensuring these are accurately reported to the Board. These are pivotal roles that will entail supporting the operational management function within the Trust.
The role is diverse, and the ability to communicate at all levels is essential. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the expansion of an emerging business intelligence service, developing and producing high quality business intelligence tools and reporting. The post holders will have a confident and self-motivated attitude, excellent communication skills and organisational skills, and be able to prioritise their own workload in order that deadlines are met and ensure high standards of services are maintained.
Advanced computer skills are essential, and in addition, the successful candidates will be expected to provide line management of a small team, providing mentoring and encouragement development within the team.
Educated to degree level or with equivalent and relevant experience, the successful candidates will have proven analytical, communication and presentation skills, have a good eye for detail, and able to work under their own initiative.
Experience and knowledge of data extract and reporting from SystemOne would be desirable, but not essential.
