We have an exciting development opportunity to offer to the right candidate!
Are you looking for a challenge? We are looking to expand our home therapies team and require a second nurse for the role of Home Haemodialysis Nurse Specialist. We want to recruit a dynamic and experienced renal nurse to join our innovative team running a nurse led home haemodialysis and self-care programme.
We have a main haemodialysis unit in York Hospital and satellite units in Easingwold, Scarborough and Harrogate. We have two self-care dialysis units in Selby and Harrogate, and an acute dialysis unit in York Hospital. Our strong renal multi-disciplinary team (which includes specialist dieticians, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists, an art worker, renal technicians, renal physicians and specialist nurses) works in close partnership with patients to promote greater treatment independence and we have recently developed a minimal care dialysis area to facilitate this.
You should be flexible and motivated, with excellent communication skills, and have demonstrable post registration experience with at least 2 years’ haemodialysis experience at band 5 or above. A teaching and assessing qualification is an essential requirement for this post.
The ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload is essential.
An on call rota for Home therapies, including peritoneal dialysis applies to this role. We will fully support your development and a full training and competency package will be provided.
Please read the documents attached to this advert for further information to assist you with your application.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
