An opportunity has arisen for an audio typist within the General and Acute Medicine Directorate at York Hospital. The post will be based within the Respiratory Medical Secretary team providing support to the secretaries and the wider team where appropriate. Duties will include typing of outpatient clinic letters as well as other administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying and dealing with routine telephone calls.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work effectively using their own initiative and is proficient in audio typing with the ability to transcribe tapes using digital dictation. The candidate will possess GCSE English Language Grade C or above (or equivalent qualification) and will preferably have a typing qualification to RSA II standard (or equivalent). It is essential that the candidate can demonstrate experience in typing and administration, preferably in healthcare or customer based setting.
