The department has close links with Hull and York Medical School (HYMS) offering opportunities for undergraduate teaching or the development of management roles within the medical school. The post may involve opportunities to work across other sites within the Trust, in particular York and Malton, and will offer teaching and supervision responsibilities in respect of specialty trainees. The Trust has an active Research department who are keen to support and explore research opportunities across our Consultant body.
The surrounding area of North Yorkshire is one of the most attractive in England and offers opportunities for city, coastal or rural living. There are excellent options for schooling at all levels throughout the region. This position involves resident on call, or on call from home, giving the successful candidate considerable flexibility to choose where to live.
In joining the Trust you will have access to a wide range of staff benefits including health and wellbeing support, finance schemes and discounts. There is also a competitive relocation package of up to £8,000. To support your learning and development you will be entitled to a study leave budget of £3,000 across three years, along with support from our learning and development team.
In order to learn more about the trust and see what the Paediatric Department can offer you, we invite you to arrange a visit.
