Here within our General Medicine Directorate at Scarborough General Hospital we have a range of exciting opportunities designed to suit you.

In particular, we are looking for applicants for our Coronary Care Unit and Beech Ward (Respiratory Ward) in Scarborough Hospital. 

We admit patients with a diverse range of illnesses and conditions, so can offer you the opportunity to develop a wealth of clinical experience. We have a dynamic nursing team and will support and develop a vast array of new and exciting clinical skills. We pride ourselves in delivering high standards of care for all of our patients.

We currently have vacancies in:

Coronary Care Unit

This 20 bedded unit with 5 acute cardiac care beds and 15 cardiac medical beds, with an extensive telemetry service, accepts patients with a variety of cardiac conditions including acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias and heart failure. Non-invasive ventilation (CPAP) for heart failure is performed on the unit.

Beech Ward (Respiratory)

This 32 bedded ward specialises in management and treatment of complex respiratory and endocrine medical conditions

Graduating nurses joining our Trust receive an exceptional 12 month preceptorship programme, supported by a dedicated preceptor to help them attain the competencies in their chosen clinical area.

We can offer both full and part time hours as well as the possible opportunity to rotate between certain areas within the General Medicine Directorate.
