An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Facilities Department at Scarborough Hospital. We are looking to appoint a Deputy Manager, who will demonstrate a proven background in delivering and managing Healthcare Facilities Services. The post holder must also have a sound knowledge of legislation and guidance, both local and national.

The successful candidate will need to ensure that Trust and departmental standards are followed, and that compliance is met and maintained at all times. The post holder will be responsible for line management of staff under their remit, and this will include ensuring all training needs are addressed, and dealing with any HR concerns as they arise.

The post holder will be expected to deputise for the Facilities Manager, when they are unavailable, ensuring professional standards are maintained at all times.

The duties of the post will be carried out over a 7 day working week and will, with other colleagues, provide management support to both early and late starting shifts, and this may at times mean visiting other sites under the remit of the Senior Facilities Manager.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
