BAND 5 (Annex 21) £19,245 – £22,206 per annum whilst training.
Audit Yorkshire provides internal audit, anti-crime services and associated services to primarily NHS organisations across Yorkshire. We are an award winning, forward looking team, providing valuable assurance and advisory services to our members and clients.
As part of our commitment to continually developing our services we have an exciting opportunity for talented and ambitious audit trainees. We offer genuine prospects for career progression together with support for professional studying (e.g IIA/ACCA). This is an ideal opportunity to obtain a professional qualification whilst gaining valuable insight and experience of how a large, varied and ever changing organisation such as the NHS operates. A member of the team who progressed through the trainee scheme has written a blog post from their perspective; this can be accessed on Audit Yorkshire's website. The title of which is called "Internal Audit Graduate Trainee Scheme".
If you are an enthusiastic and confident graduate (or have other relevant, qualifications) and are committed to your career development we would love to hear from you. You will need to have effective analytical and communication skills.
This is a fixed term contract (24 Months – 36 Months) for the training period. The position is to become permanent upon successful completion of qualifications and achievement of the competencies for the role. We operate a mentoring scheme to support trainees during their training period.
The jobs will be based at either of our two main offices at York Hospital (serving the North Yorkshire Locality) or Dewsbury Hospital (serving the West and South Yorkshire Locality). For the majority of time you will work out of one of these offices or at another office in the locality. On occasion you may be required to work in or travel to the other locality therefore the flexibility to do this will be required.
Please note that interviews will be held in either York or Dewsbury – the location will be confirmed if you are offered an interview.
Agenda for Change terms and conditions apply.
Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
