We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 4 Therapy Assistant who is ready for a new challenge.

This role will involve working with patients in Orthopaedic pre operative assessment clinics, advising on individual needs and visiting patients in their own homes. You will be responsible for equipment advice and safety at home following Orthopaedic joint surgery.

You will have the ability to work single handed with individuals and deliver talks to groups.

You will also work closely with registered Occupational Therapists and occasionally with Physiotherapists in individual treatment sessions, with patients on the Rehabilitation Ward. Providing practical training to other members of staff will be a part of this role.

You will have NVQ 3 or equivalent and a foundation degree in a relevant health care discipline is desirable. Experience of working as a band 3 therapy assistant is essential as is good communication skills and practical decision making.

The ability to transport yourself and equipment across the locality during the course of a normal working day is required for this vacancy.
