Are you a highly motivated Maintenance Craftsperson with a mechanical background?  If so then we have the role for you!

The Estates Department are looking to recruit a highly motivated Maintenance Technician (Mechanical), to work as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team, primarily within the Scarborough / Bridlington area.

The department provides management, development, maintenance and operational support for the Trust's buildings and engineering infrastructure. The role is critical to the Estates Department's very busy maintenance support service, and is demanding and varied as it covers a range of engineering services. The role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning, and maintenance of a range of engineering services in the Trust's clinical, and non-clinical facilities, of a very busy directorate, and to be part of a team that is constantly working to improve the quality, and safety, of the Trust's healthcare facilities.

The successful candidate will be based at Bridlington Hospital, but must be willing to work at any of the Trust's sites. You must be flexible, regarding hours of duty, and will be expected to undertake appropriate training, including Health and Safety training.

The successful candidate will have a good general knowledge of building services and engineering maintenance, backed up by BTech, City and Guilds Craft Certificate, or NVQ 3 qualification in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical engineering).

The successful candidate must be able to work co-operatively as part of a team, comprising of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance colleagues, and have demonstrable experience of working within a maintenance environment. In addition, the successful candidate should be reliable, resilient, enthusiastic, motivated and be able to work under pressure, with minimum supervision.

The successful candidate will also be required to participate in an on-call / out of hours rota, for which an additional payment will be made.

The successful candidate must have the ability to transport themselves and equipment throughout the community over the course of a normal working day.

So, what are some of your benefits?  How does 5.4 weeks annual leave (pro-rata) plus bank holidays, and a free uniform sound to you?
